Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is EZR Fencing a panel system?
A: No, EZR Fencing is a post and rail system.  The posts are concreted in
    the ground on 8' centers.

Q: What size pipe is used for the posts and rails?
A: The standard post is 2 7/8" OD with a 12ga wall thickness.
The rails are 1 5/8" OD with a 16ga wall thickness.  All rails are 8' long.

Q: How much of a slope will the fence handle?
A: EZR Fencing will accomodate about 12" of rise in one 8' section.

Q: How long to I need to wait after I add the water to the concrete?
A: After you soak the concrete 3 to 4 times you should wait about 4 days
to hang your gates and turn out your horses.

Q: My horse likes to push on my fences, how strong is this fence.
A: Due to the non-welded design and with each rail having about 1/2" of
play, a horse can put a tremendous amount of pressure on the fence,
pushing the rails out a couple of inches and they spring right back into
place.  I have personally watched a horse push on the rails and
constantly kick the rails while fighting with the horse next to it and the
rails flex and bounce right back.

Q: If my horse damages a rail, how do I repair it?
A: Simply obtain a new rail, walk out to the fence with no tools, pop off the caps, remove the drop rods, replace the rail, replace drop rods and caps and the fence is repaired.

Q: What is the warranty on this fence?
A: Tri-County Fencing will only warranty manufactures defects, such as
coating and workmanship of manufacturing.  If any livestock damages
the fence, Tri-County Fencing is not liable.  Your fence may have rust
streaking where the rails enter into the post, but this is normal.

Q: What size hole do I drill?
A: We recommend a 9" hole, 2 1/2' to 3' deep, which requires 2 - 50 lb
sacks of post mix sack concrete.  Also, keep your concrete a couple
of inches below grade to allow a resevior for the water, then cover it
up with dirt to keep your horses off the concrete.
